Cinemago Identity (2025)

Cinemago is an independent content creator who needed to build his brand across social media platforms. Originally focusing on cinema and videomaking, Cinemago wanted to reflect his passion for Hollywood movies, with particular appreciation for Tarantino's work. The brief therefore required a recognisable brand that could adapt to social media profile and cover images, while suiting the intro and outro sections of short to medium-form content, such as reels and YouTube videos.

The solution was a brand that combines a custom-made typeface inspired by the famous Hollywood sign, with a simple, yet effective logo evoking analogue cinematography. The colour palette on the other hand , was chosen according to famous Tarantino's movies posters, contrasting different shades of red with black and white.

While the film-roll symbol easily adapts to the round shapes of social media profiles, the custom-font serves as a key tool for the brand's textual elements, such as headlines, subtitles or captions. The result not only supports the essence of Cinemago's brand, but also responds to specific needs inherent to content creating. A solution where form and function meet to enrich recognition and improve workflows.

First sketches & digital samples.
From the start it became evident that the typographic solution would benefit from a wavy movement, referencing its inspiration.A warm tone of yellow was also considered given its predominance in some Tarantino's movie posters, like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, and even Jackie Brown.

Logotype in development.
The identity was then simplified and improved, with the film symbol becoming more prominent and geometric. The yellow was also abandoned to focus the colour palette around reds and high-contrast.

Isolated symbol.
The film roll became the centrepiece: easily recognisable and suitable for square/round profile pictures.

Final solution.
When combined, the symbol & signature match the horizontal formats of cover images, and complement the isolated version by showcasing the full concept behind the brand.
